5. Any Racing Mustang Model
Racing is, quite simply, in the Mustang’s blood. The prototype Mustang model, when tested against contemporary Formula 1 race cars in 1961, was able to nearly match the race car’s lap times without any aftermarket modifications or boosts.
To put it quite simply, Mustangs came out of the gate winning races, and that doesn’t look like it’s going to stop any time soon. Even as recently as 2012, Jack Roush won the opening race of the 50th Anniversary Rolex 24 in a Mustang Boss 302R.
It’s too hard to pick just one racing shot because there have been so many fantastic models and modifications over the years, so we are just going to leave it as “Any Racing Mustang.” If you’ve got a favorite, feel free to share it with us in the comments below!
