9. The 1965 Ford Mustang
The ‘65 Mustang model is the car that launched the brand and still holds a special place in the hearts of most Mustang enthusiasts. This is the car that allowed Ford to introduce the Mustang’s unique styling to the world, with a much longer front end and smaller truck that was unique to the model at the time. Some of the earlier models also traded trunk space for a more spacious interior, which made it great for driving but not so good for hauling the groceries home.
The boxy lines and sharp edges of the ‘65 may not line up with today’s sexy car standards, but to look at one of these cars is to look at the birth of a legend and that alone has earned it a place on this list.
