5 1927 Zenith-JAP 8/45hp – $319,600

These early V-Twin’s are the prime example of the early Zenith motorcycles. The 45-horsepower motor is the best motor you could have from the factory since the more potent 50-hp version was built just for works racers.
The racing sidecar—an AJS/Graislet TT Model 259—was added shortly after the bike was built.
This fully-documented machine was owned by motorcycle tuner Roland Martin, who owned a workshop on the Brookland raceway in South England (about 20 kilometers from London). He bought the bike brand new for 104 Pounds ($179, which is about $10,900 today) and is one of only three examples to exist, one in the States, one in Austria, and this one in Britain.
