4. Ford GT90
Though the Ford GT90 looks like something from the future, it was created over 20 years ago. The car was first seen at the Detroit Auto Show in January 1995 and called “the world’s mightiest supercar.” It doles out 720bhp from a quad-turbocharged V12, can accelerate to 60mph in 3.1 seconds and up to 100mph in 6.2 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 235mph. Because the V12 engine produced so much heat, the car uses Space Shuttle ceramic tiles to prevent from melting body panels. The futuristic car began as a secret project and shares features with the Jaguar XJ220 as Ford owned Jaguar at the time.
